Beautify your Walls with Self Adhesive Vinyl Wall Sticker
If the current trend for light tan or parchment with white trim leaves you thinking you've imprisoned yourself in a hotel chain bedroom then maybe it's time to throw off those shackles of imposed good taste and experiment. One benefit of a canvas coloured background is that it can be treated as just that, a blank canvas! Here are a few ideas for brightening up that canvas. The easiest way to make a big difference to a room is to apply a sharply contrasting self-adhesive vinyl wall sticker or decal. It can affect a huge transformation to your walls for a surprisingly small amount of money. A whole forest of trees will cover a wall for around ninety pounds.
Another benefit of the beige background is that by adding just a few small contrasting pieces; a throw, some cushions, a couple of vases or object, you can, once again, make a lot of difference for not a lot of money. When you've tired of your additions they can be packed away (or sold on ebay) and a new troupe of colour accessories brought in. There you have it, a new room.
Have you got any much loved family photo's? Or maybe a holiday snap that came out surprisingly well. Your local photographic shop will be able to blow up any image you have and turn it into a giant framed print or canvas. Match the clothing worn in the picture to the accessories you're getting for that extra co-ordinated touch.
Something that often gets overlooked when one has tired of a room is a simple re-arranging of the existing furniture. Remember not to be dictated to by the television, it's not a box anymore, it doesn't have to go in the corner, it can hang on the wall. This fact alone will give you the kind of furniture placing options our forebears could only dream of. Re-arranging is completely free, an excellent wet weather activity, burns lots of calories and you'll find lots of long lost items like sunglasses and pound coins.
Just a few ideas then, to change a room really quite dramatically and with minimal fuss, minimal outlay and no mess. A wall sticker or two, colour matched accessories, DIY art prints and move the sofa. Simple.
